From the moment that parents have indicated that they want to use the allocated place (after the placement), this school has the obligation of care (zorgplicht) in accordance with the “Wet Passend Onderwijs”. This is the formal moment of enrolment. In exceptional circumstances, and after due consideration, the school may come to the conclusion that they are not able to offer the care needed for a child in special needs. It is the responsibility of this school to arrange, in consultation with the parents, another school that is able to provide the necessary care.
