This new policy will ensure placements will no longer operate on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. All participating primary schools will uphold the same method for enrolling and placing future four-year-olds. This guarantees that every child has an equal opportunity at a preferred school. Children will have priority at their four nearest primary schools so they will be able to attend a school in the vicinity of their home address. Enrolment and placement is thereby transparent and fair.
